Stage 3 starts with a number and works backwards. What do you actually want — 420 bhp of responsive road car, or 500+ of weekend weapon? That target dictates the turbo choice, which dictates fuelling requirements, which dictates clutch or DSG upgrades, which dictates cooling. Skip the planning and you buy parts twice; we've watched it happen to other people's projects for years.
Once the hardware is right, calibration becomes development rather than flashing: baseline logging, staged boost ramps, fuelling and timing developed against measured data, torque strategy built around what the driveline can prove it holds. Every revision is logged and reviewed — when we sign the file off, it's because the data says so, not because the test drive felt exciting.
And the honesty policy scales with the power. If your block, fuel system or gearbox won't support your target, you'll hear it at the first conversation — with the real numbers for what it would take. Some of our best Stage 3 work is talking a customer into a better-planned Stage 2.5 that actually gets finished.
